Sportacus, real name Magnus Schvering, announced he would be stepping down as frontman for the show last weekend which has led to a week of wild rumour and speculation linking everyone from Nelson Mandela to the bald ref from the football with the high profile post.

It came as a huge surprise as producers announced it would be The Bean who would fill the shoes of Sportacus for the show's fifth series. In an unusually violent press conference, Lazytown creator Dale Winton said 'The Bean was by no means our first choice for the part of Sportacus but we were forced into the decision by a series of ruthless beating to our families and friends'.

Details are yet to be announced but it is believed that The Bean's involvement will see a switch away the traditional values of the show - promoting healthy eating, exercise and good manners towards a more BN way of thinking presumably involving 'Live like this', 'Get it out of them' and possibly even 'When did this begin to happen to you?' Filming on this new series begins whenever The Bean feels up to it.
